highlighted words differ between verses

3:9 · Aal-i-Imraan · Juz 3

Our Lord! You will certainly gather all humanity for the ˹promised˺ Day—about which there is no doubt. Surely Allah does not break His promise.”

3:8 · Aal-i-Imraan · Juz 3

˹They say,˺ “Our Lord! Do not let our hearts deviate after you have guided us. Grant us Your mercy. You are indeed the Giver ˹of all bounties˺.

Consecutive Rabbana supplications in Ali Imran — 3:8 ends with 'innaka anta al-wahhab' and 3:9 ends with 'inna Allah la yukhlif al-mi'ad' — the two duas follow each other and their endings are easy to swap.
